Have you ever wanted to drive a golf ball on a downtown Seattle street toward Mount Rainier? For a day, you can! Intuit will be in town Tuesday, April 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., creating a driving range on 2nd Avenue to film a commercial for its GoPayment mobile credit card reader.
Participants can receive a free golf ball, hit a bucket for $3 or improve their game with a 10-minute lesson by former PGA tour player Jeff Coston for just $5—paid with plastic.
The Office of Economic Development is excited to host this commercial production in Seattle. Commercial and corporate work is the cornerstone of the local film industry, accounting for one third of all permitted filmwork in Seattle. The City’s ability to attract and accommodate this type of large scale production helps to grow the local industry. The Intuit “GoPayment” production is hiring over 100 film crew work days, is working with numerous local vendors, and has booked 58 hotel room nights for traveling crew.
So come out of your office for a once in a lifetime opportunity to put your golfing skills to the ultimate test, with a 200 foot long golf range in the middle of Downtown. More information can be found here.
